The Punisher,portrayed by Jon Bernthal, is an excellent and realistic rendering of a Marvel comic vigilante. Finally, someone really took the time to develop a character that we can relate toa human,someone with real PTSD, and someone who believably could pursue a personal war against the corporate and government douche bags who screwed him and his family over. Bernthal does an excellent acting job, portraying a man haunted by the visions of his family being murdered, and a man struggling to reconcile the visions haunting him. His co-partner, and IT freak, who plays David Lieberman, is also a man with a mission to right the wrongs inflicted on him, and together, they play off one another very well. The action scenes are simple, yet compelling, and they are just enough to add balance to a story that draws one deeply into the lives of these two men who were betrayed by the system and the country they served. I&#39;d say that this is Marvel&#39;s best rendering. It is mature and the attention to character development transcends the obsession for &quot;action&quot; and special effects, which, after a while, simply becomes trite and overused. Such an ace TV series ! Ace for acting, ace for story-line, ace for characters, super-ace for portraying the heart of marine soldier. This is one of the Marvel&#39;s best TV series. <br/><br/>I was sceptical when I heard there would be another Punisher film. For me, Punisher is not a kind of super hero like Iron Man with the suit, Thor with the god power and the hammer, Hulk with super human strength, Captain America with the shield, Spider-man, etc. Frank Castle is just a normal human, ex-marine with no super power at all. However, this Punisher series really portray how ex-marine lives and handles a post-war life. Some of them move on and successful in business, some of them try to cover up their past, some of them try to help other soldiers to move on, some of them can&#39;t move on and distress with a quite post-war life. <br/><br/>This TV series really show the world the life of ex-marines soldier after they come back from war, how they struggle and strive life; which for me after I watch this series, I really take my hat off for every ex-marine soldiers who keep their honour and serve our country whole heartily.
